There are different names that can be used for cylinders. These are the names that we would use to identify cylinders and their locations. The Tower (bottom) cylinder raises the two boom weldments at the base of the machine (note: toggle switch). The Main lift cylinder raises the top boom weldment (note: joystick controller). The master cylinder keeps the platform level when the boom arm moves up and down. The level cylinder is for small adjustments at the platform. The jib cylinder moves the jib up and down. The steer cylinder aid in steering the unit during the drive function. The axle lockout cylinder allow the the machine axle to oscillate when the boom arms are completely lowered for the best traction. The telescope cylinder will extend the main boom weldment (top).
